Fidget Factory
Records broke it's first ground in 2007 after a night out in
Liverpool, where it was discovered that not enough filth is
played in the dance music scene. Originally established as Filth
Factory, the label signed its first act Ted O'Shay - having
previously been writing hard house and cheesy anthems, it was
time for a change. So, Ted O'Shay set out to write some nasty
filthy trance beats. The first track Filthily Induced was a
massive success across dance floors as a promo, but never saw a
full commercial release. The following track Melting Point was
just as massive. Proving that you can have a side-chained bass
with an uplifting melody, Melting Point became a massive
floorfiller worldwide, with support from some very big names
indeed. ted O'Shay continued to make more and more tracks
Ted O'Shay continued to fly the flag
for Filth Factory, establishing a couple of club nights, among
them Tranzition, which hosted a newly formed group of local DJ's
called The Deck Whores. The nights were a massive success, but
due to other commitments, the night had to temporarily disband.
A deal with LabelWorx was
realised in 2009 and it was time for the world to start to
experience the commercial releases from a newly renamed label -
Fidget Factory Records. The label had to be renamed due to
another label using the name after we had established... But
that's another story!
With the new distribution deal,
came the first ever single released through the label. Ted
O'Shay finally got to release "Melting Point" across the world.
With raving reviews across the Fidget Factory Network, Melting
Point once again secured its place on dancefloors in new places.
Among them New Zealand and South Africa all noting outstanding
results. As well as this, came the labels first ever exclusive
track. Released to trackitdown 2 weeks before any-one else,
Additional Premium was released; a mix of old-skool and new-skool
sounds forms this track.
As well as Ted O'Shay, there are
plans for some exciting new projects, including the first
release for the newly regrouped Deck Whores, new signings
including My Bad and a secret act.. But, more on that soon!
Fidget Factory Records continues
to grow from strength to strength, concentrating on bringing the
dance music world closer together by releasing the worlds finest
tracks from the wide spectrum of genres that the dance world has
become. With major releases and videos lined up for the coming
years and the relationship with stores ever growing, Fidget
Factory Records will only continue to grow, with plans for club
nights, merchandise and even festivals all in the pipe-line |
